Jeff, Working in the engine room, do you wear a long sleeve tshirt or short sleeve tshirt? A head figure at union hall said long sleeve T-shirt for your purchase, I was shocked, I’d really appreciate your thoughts
What Union hall said that?
Where are you en route to now?
Heading back to the States🇺🇲
god I wish I was 30 years younger and could sign up as a mariner
What job do you do now?
Isn’t the bulbous bow supposed to reduce drag and make the ship go faster x
Yes that is correct and it also helps with fuel efficiency 😎🐋🌊⚓️🚢
Got my date! Reporting to piney point in Jan 2025!
Congratulations and please stay in touch I am so happy to hear that hope to sail with you sometime in the near future.🐋😎🌊⚓️🚢
Stay in touch Jbull68@gmail.com
It’s cool seeing all of the different things you do!
How have you all been doing? 😎🌊⚓️🚢
i am 16 and trying to figure out my career field, is this a secure and stable career with a security of job after I do college? also if I get into maritime industry, how salary should I expect after college? also is it more difficult to get a job if you are not from the US ? And also what other jobs do you have in the industry if you don't want to travel ( like ship broker, etc) are they stable?
Far too hard to answer in a text message feel free to email me and we can discuss it more. Jbull68@gmail.com
About the 4 year degree, I just want to know what stuff are they going to have me do?
That is a long question and difficult to answer here feel free to email me and we can discuss it more. jbull68@gmail.com
Thanks 🙏
Always here...my email is on the channel
New vid on this topic coming soon
Empty tanker
Looks like it. Huge bulbous bow.
Nice one - yup, even the mundane has to be addressed :) Most people just don't realise how self contained and self sufficient you hav to be on a large transatlantic vessel. Now off you go an overhaul the sewage treatment plant... that would give us a laugh :)
I'd rather clean a grease trap, haha.😎🌊⚓️🚢🐋
@ Maersk 💙 Krasný Den Všem Námořníkům 🌍💙💦🫂👍
Thank you for the kind comment😎🌊⚓️🚢
Oh man. I am jealous of the bolts/hardware storage area @ 4:15. I need something like that in my garage 😂. Great video and digging the new intro!
I'm so glad you like it, thank you! 😎🌊⚓️🚢
Nice shot Jeff, just been reading about the ship on one of the maritime websites 🇺🇸🇬🇧👍🍺
Nice looking so for sure
Here it is the most evil and sbusive people of the planet. They with no respect use loudspeakers for everyone to have to listen their trashy music. Cairos people aren’t that bad. Very religious but have no idea of what the Bible’s says from the beginning nor practice nor care.
Lovely shot Jeff 🇺🇸🇬🇧🍺👍
I always love to see it🚢🌊⚓️😎🇺🇲🇬🇧
John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono were married here in Gibraltar on the 20th March 1969. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🍺👍
I never knew that. Thanks for sharing that...😎🍺
When I joined the Légion étrangère and if you were from one of British colonies, you were given a Rock of Gibraltar, Passport & ID!
That is interesting. Wow, thanks for sharing.😎🚢⚓️🌊
What does the wash sysrem do ❤
It washes off the anchor chain as it passes through the Hawsepipe⚓️⚓️⚓️

I'm at a point were I can't decide... Do I stay on land or start sailing. I have everything to start SIU, and I have a job offer on land. Could you advise me some. I'm out of Port Everglades hall. It's a bit nervous about how to approach it. Do I go to the hall every day until I get a job or do I just tell them I Am ready and call me when Port agent has something. How do you approach it for a first time. I owe you for the advice and thank you.
Email your # if you would like me to call you. jbull68@gmail.com
Thanks Sir. I had myTWIC plus USA passport. And I passed drug test. And I does my physical. Only to be told I have to do an ECHO. Was not told that when I saw my cordiologist I was send by Norwegian. I also worked on a chartered boat as a server/stew. Thanks 🙏 for your idea 😊. I’m 66
Yes sometimes a different employer could possibly require some different things. Also some people might have different checks based on past medical history I'm not sure
Red Dwarf DVD's in the cabinet. I used to have the collection too.
My all time favorite show😎🚢⚓️🌊
Another great video my friend.. However you forgot to show what you had for dinner..lol You would be surprised at just how many people who would love to see how they feed on a container ship..
I am actually making some footage to show a little bit about the food we eat...hope everything is going well with you my friend 😎🚢⚓️🌊
Mr. Marvelous, Can you produce a vlog on your recommendations for work boots and pants and tops for the engine room? In meantime, can you advise me on your recs for the items mentioned, I got to go shopping - first time Thank you.
I will do a video soon about what I bring. The shoes you will need should be safety shows but whatever is most comfortable for you is the best because you will be walking a lot and also with your pants and shirts number one important is comfort
Yep, new intro is good 👍
Ok, cool... thanks😎🌊⚓️🚢
Awesome view!
Thanks for watching😎🚢⚓️🌊
Wow that is some distance from port side to starboard side Jeff A big ship Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching James 😎😅🌊⚓️
Every day is "leg workout" day on ships😅
How many of those have stolen cars in them? Drugs? Guns? Illegal arms for Iran? Chinese made rubber dog crap? Scrap metal and plastic? I bet that list covers the entire cargo hold.
Go in any store that you love and has products that you love and see how many are made in USA and that might give you an idea of what is carried on some ships.... basically everything that we need. As far as cheap Chinese products if those things are shipping all the time it is only because people keep buying it.
Jeff what is other channel?
Where videos will be posted when I am off ship back in Brasil 🇧🇷 youtube.com/@jayaratravel3298?si=j51HVg30TVpxYVHu
👍🏻
Thanks
That engine room looks the size of a Cathedral
Basically, yes😎😅🌊⚓️
Intro is great! Looks like it was pretty hot in the laundry room lol
Yes it was a little bit warm in there but not too bad...😅😅😅
Hi, Jeff! You used metric system to measure the screws, so how does it work on international merchant ships: do they all use metric?
All the ships I work on our metric system so I can basically look at a bolt and know what size it is just by looking... I am far more familiar with metric and Celsius.
What bare the four bolts on the back there for? Locking the drum during shipping?
Yes for shipping...😎🚢⚓️🌊
Another outstanding video, thanks! You forgot to show the video of you throwing the old washer off the stern…after Midnight!
Hahaha, 😎🚢⚓️🌊
Really like the new intro!
So glad to hear that. Thanks! 😎🚢⚓️🌊
Mr. Jeff, what position do you hold on board the ship. Are you a boatswain or engineer? Whatever the post is, it looks cool. Keep up the videos.
QMED
Great job Jeff. Really dumb question Jeff but how does a ship that big maintain a supply of water for washer/showers/toilet use as well as potable water? How is that supply maintained?
Ships make potable water with the evaporator. Stored in big tanks😎🚢⚓️🌊
Great intro! And a great job on the washing machine too! Such small things can really have an huge impact on the crew's moral. thanks for the video
Thank you for watching and for your comment. Much appreciated!😎🚢⚓️🌊
Nice job well done Jeff A nice little overtime job
Yes, perfect little job. 😎🚢⚓️🌊
In high seas has those shelves with screws bolts etc ever come out of racks and spill all over
No because the roles are normally port and starboard but the shelves are facing forward...😎🚢⚓️🌊
Love to see it. Stay safe 🌊
Thanks Cooper😎🚢⚓️🌊
Is the ship is equipped with Starlink? That would facilitate your video download while at sea.
Yes, you are correct... thanks for your time😎🚢⚓️🌊
Great job Jeff, makes a bit of a change from welding etc. Cheers Mate.
I will be back to more of that tomorrow, haha😂
